Australian driver Tommy Smith joins HMD Motorsports to compete as a rookie in the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone championship. Smith moves from FIA Formula 3 after two seasons where he earned a best finish of fourth in 2024 at Silverstone. While he started his racing career in 2017, his racing resume includes the New Zealand Formula Ford Championship, Australian Formula 4 Championship, Asian F3 Championship, Formula Regional European Championship and the GB3 Championship (formerly known as British F3).
