Nikita Johnson joins Cape Motorsports for his first full-time INDY NXT by Firestone season after three appearances with HMD Motorsports in 2025. The Florida native raced in four open-wheel series across three continents in 2025, including Formula Regional Oceania, British GB3 and FIA Formula 3. He became the youngest-ever British GB3 winner in 2024 with a victory at Zandvoort, followed by another at Brands Hatch. Johnson finished second in the 2024 USF Pro 2000 championship with eight wins and was runner-up in USF2000 in 2023. He also became the youngest USF Pro 2000 race winner at Circuit of the Americas in 2023 at age 15.
