Bart Harrison replaces Salvador de Alba in the No. 17 HMD Motorsports entry for three of the final four races of the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season.

The Nunnington, North Yorkshire, England native makes his series debut Sunday at Portland International Raceway. The 35-lap race, which also falls on Harrison's 19th birthday, airs at 2 p.m. ET on FS1, FOX One and INDYCAR Radio powered by OnlyBulls.

Harrison also will compete in the season-ending doubleheader Sept. 5-6 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

"This is quite the opportunity," Harrison said. "We've been looking at the American racing scene, so when this opportunity came up, the timing felt perfect. HMD Motorsports is an incredible place to start and the team has been brilliant in welcoming us and helping us get up to speed quickly. I have been working closely with my engineer, reviewing data and onboards and getting as much simulator time in as possible before Portland. There's a lot to learn in a short amount of time, but I'm really looking forward to it.”

Harrison began karting at age 8 before advancing through several of Europe's top junior racing series. He remains the only two-time winner of the IAME Winter Cup X30 Junior class, capturing consecutive victories in Valencia in 2020 and 2021.

He later competed in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy, British Kart Championship, F4 British Championship, Italian F4 Championship and GB3 Championship before joining Double R Racing for the 2026 Eurocup-3 season.

De Alba will return to the No. 17 entry for the Aug. 30 race at the Milwaukee Mile, where he is the defending winner after earning his first INDY NXT victory last season with Andretti Global. He sits 14th in the championship standings this season, his first with HMD Motorsports, with four top-10 finishes in 13 starts.
