Jordan Missig will stay with ABEL Motorsports in INDY NXT by Firestone competition in 2026, his second full season in the INDYCAR development series.

Missig, a native of Joliet, Illinois, will stay behind the wheel of the No. 48 entry for his third season with the team and second full-time year.

“I’m extremely ecstatic to announce that I will be returning to ABEL Motorsports and the INDY NXT by Firestone championship for the 2026 season with continued support from our returning partners Nexus Towing and Racing For Mental Health,” Missig said. “While 2025 had some highs, there were a few things I identified as we went through the season that I am going to hone in and work on during the offseason that I think will help make me a stronger competitor in 2026 and help us challenge for wins.”

Missig (photo, above) raced a limited schedule with ABEL in 2024 before embarking on his first full season with the team in 2025. He scored six top-10 finishes en route to ninth in the series standings last season. His best finish was sixth in the season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.

“We are very excited to have Jordan back with us for 2026,” team owner Bill Abel said. “Not only has Jordan become extremely competitive on the road and street courses, but he has become somewhat of an oval expert and that will see him stand on the podium next season.”

Missig will test with ABEL Motorsports during the annual Chris Griffis Memorial Test on Monday, Oct. 27 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. The 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season opens Sunday, March 1 on the streets of St. Petersburg.
